Anime Look for Social Cure

The expression "glitter and fluffy", which is synonymous with Koakuma ageha, was photographed by Toru Takamatsu as one of the challenges to the possibilities of "Anime Look".

The magazine Koakuma ageha is a single mother, gender, LGBT, discrimination, withdrawal, poverty, low education, DV, regional disparity, cosmetic surgery, bullying, self-harm, depression, anesthesia, addiction, developmental disabilities. It is characteristic that they faced each other with their real faces and names in a dignified manner against these negative matter, which is often taken up even now.

Koakuma ageha used the power of the media, a fashion magazine, to inform women all over Japan that they had friends with similar unfavorable circumstances. Then, using the "peer pressure" of the colleagues, the magazine tried to rescue young Japanese women in difficult situations.

When treating social illnesses, it is common to provide accurate information and emphasize problems to encourage behavioral improvement, but if the illness is severe and emotionally involved, this strategy will not work. The bigger the problem, the less influence the information has, and the more terrifying the message is, the more people close their hearts.

Toru Takamatsu solved this difficult problem by changing the photographic visual of Koakuma ageha to a "Anime Look" that Japanese girls love, "glittering and fluffy".

Changing the appearance of "Anime Look" like sweet candy lowered the resolution of the reality of the media as much as possible, and completely wrapped the seriousness of these social problems in oblate.
